Acknowledgment plaques

11 November 2018

Australia’s Catholic bishops have endorsed a plaque for use in Catholic schools, parishes and organisations, which is now available through the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Council (NATSICC).

The plaque reads:

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians who have walked upon and cared for this land for thousands of years.

We acknowledge the continued deep spiritual attachment and relationship of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this country and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.

More than 100 organisations have already purchased the plaque.
To order one for your parish, go to natsicc.org.au/acknowledgment-plaques.
