17 Aug 2016 | Ben Jansseen

It’s a cold Thursday night and I’m anxiously waiting for the phone to ring. My Dad had contacted 3AW to ask if I could interview Phillip Brady.  Unfortunately, he wasn’t available but his producer said that he might call back. A short time later the phone rang and greeting me was a friendly and calm voice. “Hi Ben, it’s Phillip Brady. How are you today buddy?”  “Hello Mr Brady,” I replied, “can I interview you for my article?” “Go ahead Ben, you can call me Phillip if you prefer.”

Tackling violence against women

10 Mar 2016 |  Clare Deignan

Our loved ones should be the people with whom we feel safest, yet for many that is not the case. More than a million women across Australia have experienced some kind of violence from their male partner or ex-partner since the age of 15. Having seen the attitudes that give rise to these statistics, former AFL footballer Luke Ablett is one of many men taking a stand for women. Luke has worked within Australia and internationally to educate communities about women’s rights to safety and equality. Clare Deignan interviewed Luke about his passion for ending violence against women.
