Catholic Publications

Eureka Street An online publication focusing on politics, theology and the arts. Free emails, with the ability to sign up to either daily or weekly updates. Produced by Jesuit Communications Australia, and featuring some of Australia's best commentators. 

Cath News A service of Church Resources. It is a daily news service with prayer, meditation and Catholic website reviews. It is the most visited Catholic website in Australia, providing a mix of news, opinions, features and prayer updated daily. The newsletter is available free of charge by email. 

The Record Published four times a year by the St Vincent de Paul Society's National Council of Australia and incorporates the Victorian Viewpoint magazine. The magazine aims to provide impartial and interesting articles about matters of social justice and the Catholic faith.

Australian eJournal of Theology A peer-reviewed, open access journal published three times a year under the auspices of the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy at Australian Catholic University. It provides a scholarly forum for interdisciplinary, ecumenical and interfaith exploration appropriate to Australian regional connections with Asia and the Pacific, and with the wider international theological community. 

Tui Motu An independent Catholic monthly magazine, published monthly in New Zealand.

Far East Published eight times a year by St Columban's Mission Society. First published in 1920.

Salesian Bulletin An official publication of the Salesians that was founded in August 1877 by Don Bosco. It has been published without interruption since then.

The Tablet A British Catholic weekly journal that has been published continually since 1840. It reports on religion current affairs, politics, social issues, literature and the arts with a special emphasis on Roman Catholicism while remaining ecumenica.

America magazine A national Catholic weekly magazine published by Jesuits in the United States, founded in 1909.

US Catholic A forum for lay Catholics reviewing the intersection of U.S. cultural and political life and the Catholic faith. Monthly magazine.

Busted Halo Sponsored by the Paulists and written by young adults for young adults. Includes discussion boards on various topics, a Flash trivia quiz, guides for seekers. 

Catholic News Agency A daily news source with global coverage of the Catholic Church. 

National Catholic Reporter Independent weekly U.S. newspaper.

Popoli Popoli is the international magazine of the Jesuits in Italy.

Catholic Culture A chief provider and curator of Catholic information on the web since 1996. 

Catholic Answers Publishes Catholic Answers Magazine, a bimonthly magazine and Catholic Answers Live, a radio show that features some of the most prominent men and women in the Catholic Church answering callers' questions on a variety of topics. 

New Advent An explicitly copyrighted online version of the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia. It contains versions of documents and links to Catholic doctrines and apologetics. It also includes a list of the topmost Catholic websites that receive the most web traffic and a blog that focuses on major issues in the Catholic Church.

Swag Quarterly magazine of the National Council of Priests of Australia.

Being Catholic provides Catholic teachers and leaders with an ongoing and deeper insight into the great panorama of Catholic thought and teaching on many issues. It seeks to help them draw deeper inspiration, edification and motivation from the Church’s teaching. Secondly, it seeks to provide those staff who may not have grown up within the Catholic tradition with a simple and accessible resource for learning a little more each month about the great adventure they have embarked upon.

Meanjin  Known primarily as a literary magazine, Meanjin is an imprint of Melbourne University Publishing. It currently receives funding from the university, the Literature Fund of the Australia Council for the Arts, CAL and Arts Victoria as well as receiving vital support through subscriptions and other sales. 

Quadrant Monthly print magazine; with book reviews, poetry, and essays.

Warcry The official news publication of the Salvation Army.


Catholic TV & Radio

Cradio Australia’s new Catholic media service, providing free access to a growing variety of Catholic programs, talks and music. Listen in via a 24-hour stream, subscribe to podcasts or access new content online.

The Catholic Guy  A ministry that exists to reach out and proclaim Jesus Christ around the world. The Catholic Guy events, TV programs, books, DVD’s and other media empower people in their faith and create an environment for change in everyday life. The TV program screens in Australia on the Foxtel and Austar networks, but is also available online.

Mass For You At Home  Has been broadcast by the 10 Network since August, 1971. The show allows viewers to participate in a Sunday Mass from their homes. It is viewed by thousands of people across Australia every Sunday and this Mass is repeated on the Aurora Channel on Foxtel during the week.
